15th February 2013
As Alex always tries me to bring me to good places for special occasions, i was abit stressed about where to bring him for his bday that can surprise him...
Especially when the boy is more atas than me and know alot more good places!
As we were both on leave on his birthday (a Friday), i suddenly thought of a place i always wanted to try if i m on leave!
Au Petit Salut @ Dempsey!
the bread...
Thanks to my uni gal frens, Pris and Cherish for recommending it in the past!
I kept remembering them mentioning that the set lunches on weekdays are a good deal!
n at $36++ i must say they really are!
especially for the quality french food that they serve...
the happy bday boy who have never even heard of this restaurant much less been there!
yeah so i managed to score a point n successfully surprise him!
the $7 drinks we ordered on top of the set lunch...
abit too sweet n sinful so i would recommend giving it a miss...
i feel that the sunny lighting at the very much open restaurant gives a perfect lighting for taking iphone pics!
love all the pics taken here!
my appetiser - escargots! something that Alex is not accustomed to having... but i love them!
those at Au Petit Salut were good despite being not warm enough for my liking maybe due to mass production as the restaurant was full house both inside n outside even on a weekday afternoon!
ok i really m getting old i have no idea what is Alex's appetiser at all... i cant even remember how it taste like...
must go back and ask Alex what is it...
my main was roast chicken which we both wanted to order cos we are both chicken lovers!
but thanks for always giving in to me baby!
it was really juicy and tender despite it being breast meat! love it!
Alex ordered snapper so that we can try more dishes!
which was very fresh and tasty too... n the sauce in a cup was so delicious that we finished it all!
the illy tea was part of the set...
Alex acting cute!
as u can see my drink was barely touched, i would recommend to shamelessly ask for tea to be served at the start!
my sinful dessert!
the Profiteroles with ice-cream almond slices and chocolate sauce
Alex opted for a healthier alternative
i think is some tofu pudding with sorbet!
love it even more than my rich deessert! but then again i love pudding of all sorts!
After which we went to a couple spa at Bella Luna at Habourfront bought as a deal...
massage was good and comfortable (i fell asleep)
though the indoor jacuzzi was abit tiny for the 2 of us!
still overall a good experience... recommended!
package they quoted was also reasonably priced...
so i applaud Alex for being able to resist it...
if i went alone...
then we took the train to Marina Square n having time to kill... we sat down for some dim sum...
Dim Dim @ B1-16 is newly opened...
being fellow dim sum lovers we decided to give it a try....
the 流沙包 that was surprisingly good
the lemon honey which is abit diluted... not really recommended
the char siew was quite flavourful and generous in helping
the prawns were big and fresh in the har gow...
Overall surprisingly good standard dim sum! we will be back again!
happy and satisfied us waiting for a much anticipated dinner...
my dress for the day was a gift from Alex from F21!
i found it abit ex at $49.90 hence he gave it to me as a present!
thanks alot baby!
i absolutely love it!
the pink and lace is super me!
a friend asked abt it after seeing my pics on fb but couldn't find it anymore at F21 here...
